Tao Ho, who designed these stamps is an often overlooked designer and creative who worked underneath the Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius at his architecture firm in the USA. 

He went on to have a significant impact. Designing buildings, the stamps you can see here and even the flag of Hong Kong.
