Give Back Our Sea

Kiyoshi Awazu was a self-taught, Japanese graphic designer born in 1929. This work was designed afterAwazu went on a trip to the beach in the Chiba Prefecture in Japan. There he learned that the US military had banned the local fishermen from the ocean. Therefore, this design (Give Back Our Sea) represents a fisherman watching the sea behind a barbed wire fence.
