An advertisement for Morinaga, which sold Western-style sweets around this time. The designer, Wada, was studying abroad to learn arts when he was asked to design this package. This design entirely reflects the Western style of drawing at that time, and it was clear from the point of consumers that the sweets inside are Western sweets.
