Seventh Biennial of Canadian Painting Exhibition Poster

6

The “Seventh Biennial of Canadian Painting” was one of the first exhibitions that trailblazing female Japanese Canadian graphic designer Eiko Emori worked on after being hired (on a freelance basis) by the Canadian National Gallery (NGC)  in 1968.  She also designed a catalog for the exhibit, but I have yet to  find a photo. While working for  the NGC in Ottawa, she also worked for various departments of the federal government, public institutions, CBC, as well as many other clients through her studio ‘eiko emori inc.’ Over the course of almost 20 years, Eiko would design over 50 exhibition catalogs and other materials such as brochures, posters, and more.
