"Handbill for a party and fundraiser for the LGBTQ activist organization Queer Nation at The Limelight, 1991. The event promoted a performance by "Voguing Superstar" Willi Ninja (1961–2006) and several members of the House of Xtravaganza who had been featured in the film Paris is Burning, which explored the world of drag ball culture in Harlem and was released the year before. Designed by @stevenbroadwaychic and on display now with several stills and a poster from the film as part of our American Drag exhibition"
