Although Prince did not refer to this as a lyric video, the basics are all there, which makes it one of the earliest examples of the modern lyric video. There is evidence of visual music along with synchronized and kinetic type. The background glimmers pink, blue, purple, and yellow to the music while the lyrics take turns shrinking away, cycling around a four-, then two-window square, and sliding by the camera.
