This is a TV opening for the CTS News show, played on Taiwanese Broadcast in the 1990's.
The larger than life chinese characters, achieved by novel CG graphics give a sense of scale and magnitude for the news to follow. Reminiscent of other televised network openings at the time, the techniques of metallic-adjacent lettering as well as blurring and duplicated layers of text later gave way to developments for today's techniques (both in Taiwan and beyond)
