Archie’s Double Digest Book No. 14 

The Double Digest Series of Archie Comics includes several Archie comics in one big book. These are short stories with comic strip illustrations and the series includes over 200 different Double Digest books. This particular book is number 14 and was published in 1985 with 256 pages of comic strips. The covers have a very distinct style to the viewer which helps create a more eye-catching illustration. This book is important to the graphic design archive because the design choices of composition and the layout of the comic strips are all included in the role of a graphic designer. Other elements such as  type and illustration for the front and back covers of the book also help create a cohesive branch of comics from the original format.
