San Francisco magazine was published from June 1970 to June 1971. The magazine was the source for all things counter-culture fashion in San Francisco. It was created by Baron Wolman, a former photographer of the Rolling Stone. Rags was created to be "the Rolling Stone of Fashion” but only lasted for about a year, only publishing 13 editions. The magazine featured limited color and primarily black and white photography and illustration. This edition especially has very striking visual illustrations as a commentary on fighting conformity in fashion in the 1970s.
