Lizzie McGuire's Alter Ego
Lizzie McGuire is an American comedy tv series created by Terri Minsky. The show aired on Disney Channel from 2001-2004 and received nominations for two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Children’s Program. The series follows the main character Lizzie (played by Hilary Duff) through the struggles she faces at school and with friends during her adolescent years. Producer Stan Rogow drew inspiration from the film Run Lola Run for the visual design of the series. Lizzie’s alter ego known as “animated Lizzie” plays a significant role in the series as a sarcastic narrator. The character provides insight into Lizzie’s true feelings about her situations through the expression of her inner monologue.
