Lifetime Ceramic Christmas Tree

8

The holiday season is full of the commercialization and advertisement of products. This packaging shows designers today what holiday packaging might have looked like during the 1960s. The packaging has a very limited color palette with just two simple typefaces—a script typeface and a sans serif typeface. On the front of the box, the title “Lifetime Ceramic Christmas Tree” is offset and an angle, while the additional information below is set on a straight line. The side of the box, which includes information about the uses, the production, and the product info, uses the same typefaces and colors as the front of the box. The bottom of the box has a label which gives more information about the weight and production. The playful illustrations and typefaces make the packaging look very playful, engaging, and festive. Designers today can compare holiday designs from now vs. the 1960s to see how advertising and packaging has evolved over the years.
