This design was created by one of the most famous designer for Shiseido, Ayao Yamana. This design was used for Shiseido 1939 October book cover “Hanatsubaki.” Ayao Yamana had been a Shiseido designer for advertisements for many years. He contributed in establishing iconic graphic designs that is unique to Shiseido.
