The Osaka Expo was the first world fair to be held in Osaka, Japan, and it served as a platform for a celebration of peace and prosperity among people in Japan and throughout the globe. Surely, an artist with comparable design principles was chosen to design the poster. Kamekura's work on the Osaka Expo poster was one of his greatest efforts to combine the aesthetic principles of the Bauhaus and Constructivism with Japanese values and traditions. The cherry blossom in the center has a readily identifiable basic geometry, which is further highlighted when combined
