The 'New Spirit in Japan' poster was created through a collaboration between Kiyoshi Awazu and the kimono company Juraku. The artwork consists of two primary elements: The first one on the left side depicts a variation of the previously viewed topographical pattern, which is created using curved lines, bright gradients, and a diverse range of colors to produce a more daring outcome. On the other side, there is a series of illustrations that depict Hanafuda drawings: a traditional Japanese card game. Awazu's interpretation of the Hanafuda motifs employs a murky color scheme to revamp the visuals of this classic game, resulting in an atmospheric and trippy effect.
