This is a magazine advertisement from Radio Corporation of America promoting their product as well as trying to get people to support the war effort. As is the norm for the time period, companies tried their best to tie in supporting the war efforts with their brand and that is what RCA is doing here. They are trying to convince people to buy their products because their products are helping out the way effort.
Through a design lens, this piece uses a loose grid which I think works in this case with the way that the top image leaks down and is not restricted to a frame. Other than that, this piece is about what you would expect for the time period with the typeface as well as the column style of a magazine which is still present today.
