A poster Eiko Ishioka made in 1975 to promote Kadokawa Shoten's books.  The poster is aimed specifically at women, and has the slogan, ‘Woman!  Turn off your TV sets!  Women!  Close your magazines!”  She said of it, “I wanted these commands to shake up those who spend their days watching soap operas and reading trashy gossip magazines.”  At the time, Ishioka had been appointed by president Haruki Kadokawa to breathe new life into the image of paperback books.
