I Am A Cat Cover Design
This book told a story from the perspective of a cat and was a highly satirical novel about Japanese society during the Meiji period. The illustrations in the book were done by artist Hashiguchi Goyō to complement the events described in writing. Originally a single short story, Natsume Soseki was persuaded to serialize the book, which is still read in Japanese elementary schools today.
