This wonder woman comic was released in 1980 in the first volume of wonder woman comics. The comic is significant to graphic design history because it represents a style of design that was going relatively unnoticed in the 80’s. Not to say that comics were not popular, but compared to the previous few decades comics sales were down. What is interesting about comic books in the 80’s is how they were often used to push political or company agendas. Comics such as green lantern and wonder woman were adding minority characters and fighting issues like drugs, racism and pollution. It is also interesting to note how the style of comic books has changed, specifically into a more surrealist style during the 80’s.
