"Psychocountry," poster for Polish rock musician Maciej Maleńczuk
In this poster, Maciej Maleńczuk and Team Psychodancing (or rather their unknown designer) coopt the classic American West “Wanted” poster even including fake bullet holes. This parody is a departure from the archetypal posters, which have become icons of 20th-century Polish design history. And while it evokes songs like David Byrne's Psycho Killer, it belongs to a different universe of referents that plays not on urban violence but the romantic violence of country gunslingers.
Maleńczuk's Wikipedia profile is as follows: He was (born August 14, 1961 in Wojcieszów, Lower Silesian Voivodeship), also known as Vladimir, is a Polish vocalist, guitarist, poet, former leader of music groups Püdelsi and Homo Twist. He performed as a guest with Behemoth and was a judge in the third season of the Polish edition of the Idol series. He achieved worldwide popularity in late 2018 after his hit song "Vladimir" went viral in numerous Discord servers.
