Monopoly Board Game

A game named Monopoly was offered to Parker Brothers executives in 1934 by Charles B. Darrow of Germantown, Pennsylvania. During that time, Darrow, like many other Americans living without a job, frequently played this game to pass the time. Darrow was first inspired to create this game on his own by the game's alluring promise of fame and money. Darrow sold thousands of Monopoly game boards to a department shop in Philadelphia with assistance from a colleague who worked in printing. When Darrow could not meet the increasing demand for the game, the Parker Brothers were hired to take over. In 1995, Monopoly Deluxe Edition was released, celebrating the game's 60th-anniversary. The Monopoly Deluxe Edition board game offers various graphic enhancements over the standard Monopoly game at the time, along with additional tokens. The game board, pieces, and box became significantly more colorful and detailed. The newer addition also has a spinning holder for the land title cards and a stylish holder for keeping the money. Wooden houses, hotels, and gold-toned tokens were all included as an addition to the game's newest version. Monopoly is one of the most renowned American board games of all time. Since 1934, the concept of the board game has remained the same, but as the design developed and times changed, the design and look of the board game have changed numerous times. A game that was once used to pass the time developed and changed throughout time also to become more visually appealing with every modernized edition, paving the way for creative and colorful board games to come.
