Slowpoke Pocket Monsters Card

8

Printed and sold in 1996 in the original Japanese text, this pocket monsters card (aka Pokémon) is an excellent display of the amalgamation between information and illustration. Illustrated on the card is Slowpoke, a first-generation Pokémon. It’s a fairly generic card that holds little monetary value today. Pokémon became widely popular in the US and across the world and remains relevant to this day. The cards are small and were meant to be collected, traded, and used to play with your friends.
