This Silvertown needle case was created in Germany and originally held 49 embroidery needles. The paper case is decorated in a chromolithographic inspired style depicting a family in a train car. They look out in awe at the majestic snowy mountains outside their window. The scene immediately communicates the brand’s focus on the needs of a family in order to advertise toward the women who would be using the needles. This theme is also spelled out on the inside of the case with the phrase that reads “Best for all family uses!” The mountains portray the location of the company and manufacturing of the needles as they resemble the Alps along the German-Austrian border.
