Ads for Writing Machines (typewriters)

A spread from The Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine for writing machine advertisements. These are now known as typewriters. Of particular interest to me, was The Hammond, which was the first typewriter allowing users to swap out typefaces and which allowed for two faces to be loaded on the machine at one time.
