Q Notes: The Sweetheart Tour

This advertisement space is from  the paper Q Notes. This local newspaper in Charlotte represented the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community members. Q Notes was founded in 1986 and had 11,000 issues in circulation. 

This excerpt features an exciting and unconventional advertisement space within the newspaper. The hot pink background color definitely stands out and encapsulates the overall "vibe" of this event's advertisement. The heading, Hot Fridays with Hot Men,  illustrate what the Sweetheart Tour is about. The imagery of the man with glasses looking longingly at the camera further illustrates the energy of the lustrous Sweetheart Tour that was taking place at the Eastway and the Plaza in Charlotte NC during the late 80's.
