Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, the final ukiyo-e artist in the early Meiji period, designed this artwork. It portrays the woman eating Tempura, one of the popular foods among the common people during the Edo period. He expressed her feeling how delicious it is with her slightly smiling mouth and her hand putting under her chin.
