Djedi by Guerlain

1

The ad celebrates the 100th anniversary of the company, and features Djedi: a perfume inspired by ancient Egypt after the hallmark discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb. It was featured in a 1926 edition of Vanity Fair.

This advertisement was made when the Art Deco style was budding--but it contains most of the movement's landmark features. The typeface features a left-weighted serif that appears almost deconstructed. A sunburst appears behind the product, stamped between geometrical embellishments.
