Japanese packaging art for Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy (1987) is the first installation of the well-known Japanese role-playing-game series of the same name. This box art combines crystalline, translucent, 3D text with a flat, ink-like installation. 

Yoshitaka Amano is an independent artist who focuses on illustration. He is a 5-time winner of the Seiun Award.
