Pamela Colman Smith is the artist responsible for one of the most well recognized and popular tarot card designs to ever exist. Published under the direction of the mystic A.E. Waite, the deck Rider-Waite Smith deck debuted in 1909 featuring 78 illustrated cards depicting the art style most typically found in the Art Nouveau movement. These cards are most commonly used for divination purposes and or spiritual/religious reasons and have existed since the 1430's.
