This is a color poster announcing one of the attractions in the P.T. Barnum show. This man was known as Captain Costentenus. He was covered head to toe in light blue tattoos. Barnum told the story that Costentenus was punished at the hands of Chinese captors through heavy tattooing, however, this story was only fabricated to get his act more attention. Costentenus was one of the most tattooed men of his time and was a medical wonder.
