The Great Rap Hits (Sugar Hill, 1980)

Sugar Hill, run out of Englewood, New Jersey, was arguably “not the first great rap label.” The  label was founded in 1979, by husband and wife Joe and Sylvia Robinson. This particular image was the cover of the album entitled: “The Great Rap Hits,” was compromised of works from Various Artists, and was dropped in 1980. The label went under in 1986, going defunct.
