In 1976, the Manchester based Moss Side Press became a women only press and changed its name to Moss Side Community Press Women's Co-op. It had originally started in the late 1960's as a mixed underground press with equipment donated by the Student Christian Movement.

Mosside Press in Manchester was one of the very first community printing services in the very early 1970s. The Women's Cooperative was a later development.
