Richard started making cartoons about the army and submitting them to big publications, even national publications and magazines . The cartoons were so well liked and well done that the posters started to get noticed by the army themselves. Soon after the Army started reaching out to Richard for him to create posters with specific messages, how he started getting into the political posters.
