21 South Drive-In is a drive-in style restaurant that has been located in Charlotte, North Carolina since 1955. The restaurant was founded by three Greek brothers, Sam, Nick, and George Copsis who had recently immigrated to the US before opening the restaurant in Charlotte. Through several financial hurdles and unforeseen circumstances, 21 South Drive-In has managed to become one of Charlotte's most notorious restaurants. According to the Copsis brothers, their diverse menu is what set them apart from the 10 other drive-in restaurants that were located in Charlotte at the time. "...instead of a limited selection of grilled sandwiches, South 21 also offered a fried chicken dinner (39 cents), a hamburger steak dinner (39 cents), BBQ plates (59 cents), hot dogs (10 cents), and a variety of drinks, including coffee for 10 cents a cup." However, 21 South's Super Boy Hamburger is what they known for, as seen in their advertisement.
