"Bound Treasures: Graphic Art in Korean Children's Books of the Mid-20th Century", archives many early Korean children's book illustrations from the mid-20th century. Works created by various artists during the Korean war, while suffering through poverty, rebuilding and early industrialization. Though interviews with multiple surviving cover artists were attempted, due to the quality of life for all Koreans at this time, only one recalled their past work or maintained original copies in their possession. Almost all surviving copies remain on the poor quality books that have survived to present day. A third party website, 500watts, discloses some of the contents found within the book.
