IBM commissioned the Eames office to create a display about mathematical concepts for the new wing at the California Museum of Science and Industry. Part of that was a board game designed by Deborah Sussman that used post-Victorian aesthetics to make the game seem more approachable. –paraphrased from Earthquakes, Mudslides, Fires & Riots: California and Graphic Design, 1936-1986
