“The methods and approach are, I think, more universal than the symbols are. I had to discover this when I worked for Africans for some time. I had to make things clear to them, and I could not force our ‘international symbols’ on them. Many symbols, of man, woman, house, tree, field, etc. had to be specifically designed for them. When things are equal all over the world the symbols can be the same.”
