Gigline; Vol. 2, No. 4

918
"Gigline was an underground paper put out by GIs at Fort Bliss, Texas, and its office became a de facto FI counseling center. 'Many people would come into the office and say 'I can't do it any more. I can't put on the uniform any more. What do I do?' remembers Gigline's David Cortright. 'We had it down to a science: how many pills to take to make yourself really sick without actually killing yourself but get into the hospital to get their stomach pumped and then get out on section 8 suicide. This would happen once or twice a week.'"—Geoff Kaplan, Power to the People, p 180
