Symbol Mark for Aomori Museum of Art
This symbol mark was designed by Atsuki Kikuchi 菊地敦己 for the opening of the Aomori Museum of Art in July 2006. Based on the motifs of a "tree" and the letter "A," the design is expected to be used repeatedly rather than alone. This is because to convey the concept of "blue trees come together to form a forest (Ao-mori 青森, could be literally translated as blue forest)." It also incorporates the idea that the forest grows larger as the museum’s activities accumulate.
