ATG (Japan Art Theatre Guild 日本アート・シアター・ギルド)
This is the logo design for the ATG (Japan Art Theatre Guild 日本アート・シアター・ギルド) created by Juzo Itami 伊丹十三 (real name Yoshihiro Ikeuchi 池内 義弘), known as a film director and essayist. ATG was a Japanese film company that distributed and produced non-commercial art films from 1961 to 1992, established by Kashiko Kawakita 川喜多かしこ and others. Juzo designed this logo during his time as a commercial designer in the 1950s to 1960s, and he was also responsible for the lettering and cover design of Art Theatre アートシアター, the film magazine published by ATG.
