Poster, 'The New Spirit of Japanese Design: Print'

This poster was designed by famous Japanese graphic designer Tanaka Ikko in 1984 for a special feature The New Spirit of Japanese Design in the design magazine Print. Large semicircles in black, blue and brown overlap, composing an image of a Geisha. Tanaka Ikko used a few simplified elements to create a stylish vibe.
