The PSP game Armored Core Formula Front Extreme Battle (アーマード・コア フォーミュラーフロント) is a video game in the Armored Core series created by From Software, being directed by Nozomu Iwai (岩井 望) and produced by Toshifumi Nabeshima (鍋島 俊文.) The Japanese version was released on December 12, 2004, and was released in North America for the PSP a year later on December 15, 2005. The covers differ from each region. The main cover in Japan features the Crest CR-C75U2, which focuses on the close quarters combat combat design. The design choice and layout of how the mech is designed in the cover is supposed to convey to the viewer that the game is a pure tactical management simulation, having the player act as a designer and builder of Unmanned Armored Cores (u/ACs). That is why the cover has a sort of blueprint aesthetic, with many lines protruding out from each part of the Armored Core.
