Michael Jackson the KING OF POP -with a Drawing app-
Tomoyuki Kurosawa known as Nemury created Michael Jackson - The KING OF POP is part of his series of minimal digital illustrations of famous people and popular culture. Instead of making a realistic portrait of Michael Jackson, Nemury reduces his appearance to simple shapes, lines, and colors. The image still makes the subject recognizable, showing how simple shapes can still represent someone with a well-known image. Nemury calls this approach MINIMUMix, a mix of images and typography made with minimal lines and colors. He developed his style by creating artwork on his iPhone during his train commute. He used the #patchwork app, which limited him to only three basic shapes. These restrictions pushed him to remove unnecessary details and focus on simple shapes, colors, and recognizable features.
