[History Student Work] The Permanence of the Typophoto: A Critical Commentary

This is a booklet created as the final project for my History of Graphic Design class based on my earlier commentary on László Moholy-Nagy’s 1925 essay “Typophoto." 

The booklet discusses the concept of the “typophoto” as Moholy-Nagy describes it as a means of communication of the future and makes the claim that the essential concept of the typophoto has existed long before photography. The format of the 8 page booklet is based on the typophotographic work of Moholy-Nagy, namely his “Dynamic of the Metropolis. ” Abundant linear elements connect assets and demonstrate the continuity of the artform through time.
