This commentary considers Marshall McLuhan’s ideas about how “electric technology” transformed communication into a more sensory and participatory experience, while questioning whether contemporary design often relies on stimulation at the expense of meaning. The booklet’s design is heavily inspired by McLuhan and Quentin Fiore’s The Medium Is the Massage, using the same experimental black and white design to support the essay's argument.
