「Even falling down can be fun.」/「すってんころりんまた楽し」

This poster was designed by Awazu Kiyoshi as a promotional poster for the Korakuen Ice Palace. Using free and unrestrained hand-drawn lines and transparent overlapping color blocks, it depicts the exaggerated and humorous dynamic image of the characters when they fall. It creates a relaxed and joyful atmosphere of ice skating. It broke the traditional model of commercial advertisements that pursued realism and standardized composition at that time, integrating painting quality, handcraft feel and personal expression into the poster design, and creating a more free and artistic visual language. This work had a significant influence on later cultural posters.
