Description:
Lady in Blue is an early oil painting created during a period when I was deeply immersed in fashion design. I have loved oil painting since I was 12 years old, and it became the foundation for many of the visual techniques I later developed in fashion illustration and design. This piece reflects my lifelong passion for color, texture, and the expressive qualities of the human figure. The obscured eyes, soft hat, and cool palette create a quiet, introspective mood that mirrors the emotional storytelling I explored through fashion and art.

This artwork represents a formative stage in my creative evolution. Before transitioning into digital design, I worked extensively with traditional media, using painting and fashion sketching to understand silhouette, proportion, and the emotional impact of visual composition. Today, as I continue expanding my skills in the digital design world, I bring even more passion to the process — building on the artistic foundations that began in childhood and continue to shape my design identity.

Significance:
I am contributing this piece to the People’s Graphic Design Archive because it documents the roots of my creative practice — where fashion, art, and visual communication first intersected for me. PGDA’s mission to preserve personal and often overlooked creative histories aligns with my belief that design is shaped by the emotional and artistic experiences we carry forward. Lady in Blue captures the moment when my love for color, texture, and expressive form began guiding my path toward a modern fashion, graphic and digital design practice.
