Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane Postcard
The History of the City of Buffalo as a prominent city around the turn of the century into the 20’s and 30’s has had a lasting impact on graphic design history and culture, which is often overlooked as the city has had massive influence and population loss over time.
This is a vintage postcard reformatted and restored by Eric Woods. It depicts what was then named the Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane, then the Buffalo Psychiatric Center, and now the Richardson Olmstead complex, after the architects who designed it.
