Design for hardcore/adjacent albums are often overlooked or even dismissed by the general public, mostly because of their chaotic, overwhelming style and music that’s involved. Designs such as these are very underrepresented in the archive at this moment, it’s important to include these works because of the rich history behind the scene surrounding them.
Released on May 9, 2000, Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence is Glassjaw’s first studio release. The cover depicts a daily pill organizer, directly referencing frontman Daryl Palumbo’s battle with Crohn's Disease, as well as his reliance on medication during the creation of the album. Themes of illness, physical pain, and isolation are also displayed through this design.
