Art Against Oppression

5

“Art Against Oppression” is a poster created in 2015 that examines the relationship between artistic expression and systems of control.

The composition merges the visual language of a detonator and a chain, suggesting both restriction and the latent potential for rupture. By reducing the imagery to essential symbolic elements, the work emphasizes tension between containment and release, positioning visual communication as an active form of resistance.

The poster was presented as part of the “Poster Passion” international traveling exhibition and exhibited in multiple countries, including Mexico, Iran, and Italy. The work reflects a broader context in which graphic design operates not only as representation, but as a tool for confronting and exposing structures of oppression.
