Circle Jerks - Wild in the Streets

129

The graphic design and artwork for the Circle Jerks' 1982 album Wild in the Streets is a landmark of hardcore punk visual culture, characterized by raw photography and iconic illustrations that reflect the chaotic energy of the early 80s California scene. The cover features a stark, high-contrast photo taken by punk photographer Ed Colver. Carl Grasso is credited with the overall artwork and layout for the original release. The inner sleeve or lyric insert features illustrations by Shawn Kerri, a key artist in the hardcore punk scene. The back and inner photos, often showcasing the band in a more intimate or live setting, were provided by Glen E. Friedman, another legendary photographer of the era.
